Ziedonis

Waters break through the last of winter. Ziedonis, Latvian for springtide, shows Vilhelms Purvitis at his finest: a swollen stream rushing over dark stones while bare birches line the banks. Cold blues and violet shadow fill the water, broken by white foam and pale sky. Soft ochre washes across distant fields, and low light catches the wet trunks. The brushwork is loose, almost quick, as if painted outdoors before the thaw moved on. Made for a hallway, sunroom, or any room that wants the first breath of the season on its walls.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes. It arrives stretched over a solid wood frame, ready to hang, with the hanging hardware included.

Dust it gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Pick the size that suits your wall and furniture. If you are unsure between two, the larger one usually looks better than expected.

Each piece is made to order and shipped free with tracking, usually within a couple of weeks depending on your location. See our shipping policy for details.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
