Zatulenye. Barns at Sunset

Threshing barns slant across the last of the light, their roofs catching a burnished amber before dusk closes in. Zatulenye. Barns at Sunset by Eugene Lanceray gathers the Russian countryside at the hour when work stops and shadow takes over. Warm ochre and russet washes settle over the timber walls, while the sky behind them cools toward rose and pale violet. Fine draughtsmanship, Lanceray known strength, shows in every plank and post, each stroke precise yet unhurried. The village sits low and quiet, no figures in sight, only geometry softened by evening air. Hung in a dining room or hallway, the warm palette pairs easily with wood furniture and linen tones.
