Snow lies deep across a Swiss valley in Winterlandschaft, a landscape by Cuno Amiet. The scene opens under a pale sky where white fields meet dark tree lines. Amiet builds the cold from a restrained palette: bone white, slate grey, and violet shadow pooled in drifts and furrows.
