Winter Sunset

Low sun sinking behind a frosted valley turns every drift rose and amber in Winter Sunset, a landscape by Ivan Fedorovich Choultse, the Russian painter devoted to snow under fading light. Paint sits thick where the glow strikes, cream and shell pink highlights loaded over violet shadow pooled in every hollow.
