Winter in Worpswede

Snow lies deep over the moor fields, broken by a dark rank of bare birches and the thatched roof of a low farmhouse. That is the country Hans am Ende painted in Winter in Worpswede. Thin tonal layers carry the scene: lead white drifted across gray ground, violet shadow pooled in a frozen ditch, umber trunks scratched against a sky the color of unpolished pewter. A stretched canvas: the image is printed on a cotton-polyester weave (300–350 gsm) and wrapped over FSC-certified wood stretcher bars. A hanging kit is included, so no frame or extra hardware is needed.

Dust with a soft, dry cloth only — avoid water or cleaning products on the canvas face — and keep it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators.

As a guide, a piece hung above furniture should span roughly two-thirds of that furniture width. If you are between two sizes, the larger option almost always reads better on the wall than expected.
