White Negress II

A reclining figure narrows to one continuous curve, hip lifted, small head at rest. Constantin Brâncuși carved White Negress II as a single horizontal gesture in pale stone. Light skims the marble in a long sweep from hip to shoulder. Beneath the arched waist the stone drops away into shadow, and the whole silhouette settles onto a low stepped plinth, every surface ground to a soft sheen. Hung above a console table or across from a reading chair, the level line quiets a room. Entryways and studies with bare plaster walls suit it well.

Frequently asked

Yes. It ships fully framed and assembled, with the hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Wipe the front gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Pick the size that suits your wall and furniture. If you are unsure between two, the larger one usually looks better than expected.

Each piece is made to order and shipped free with tracking, usually within a couple of weeks depending on your location. See our shipping policy for details.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
