Vision

A pale sun-like form opens across the center of Vision, Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis, floating above a dim landscape that seems to wait for it. Muted violets and greys wash the lower fields, while thin parallel strokes of tempera-like pigment grade the sky from ochre glow into cold blue shadow. The horizon sits low and quiet, and the radiant disc above it carries soft ray lines that read almost like a Lithuanian folk sun sign drawn in pigment. Everything feels half dream, half astronomical chart. It belongs in a study or reading nook, where low evening light can answer the glow.
