Rooftops slope away below the window frame, a Slovene hillside town dissolving into morning haze. Ivan Grohar looked at exactly this scene and painted View from my window with the honesty of someone who saw it daily. Terracotta tiles step down the hillside in warm ochre and rust, chimneys catching pale light. Beyond the roofs, hedged fields and scattered trees sit in soft greens, the sky above brushed in milky grey blue. Loose impressionist brushwork keeps every edge alive, the kind of plein air handling that records weather as much as architecture. A quiet study, a hallway, or a kitchen with morning light would suit this Slovenian landscape well.
