Mist sits low over a Scottish loch, the water rendered in long horizontal pulls of grey and blue-green. View at Lochmore shows Churchill working the Highland landscape he loved to paint. Dark conifers crowd the near bank, their reflections breaking where the breeze catches the surface. Hills beyond dissolve into silver wash, brushwork loose and quick, sky and water meeting in a band of pale light. The palette stays cold throughout, heather browns warming one shoreline only.
