Vestenötting on the Thaya

Grey rooftops and a slim church spire cluster along the Thaya at Vestenötting, a village scene the Austrian artist Thomas Leitner observed from the water meadows. Olive fields slide toward the river, which runs in long horizontal strokes under a sky of pearl and cloud grey. Each house is built from small blocks of ochre, rust and slate, roof edges crisp against soft hedgerows. The light sits low, cool at the margins, unmistakably Waldviertel. Set in a study or reading nook, it cools a warm room and rewards the long, quiet looking a river bank asks of you.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes. It ships fully framed and assembled, with the hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Wipe the front gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Pick the size that suits your wall and furniture. If you are unsure between two, the larger one usually looks better than expected.

Each piece is made to order and shipped free with tracking, usually within a couple of weeks depending on your location. See our shipping policy for details.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
