Flat fields of red, yellow and blue press against black outlines and white ground, the whole surface locked into geometric order. This untitled composition comes from Bart van der Leck, the Dutch painter who helped shape De Stijl. Every edge is hard. Every color stays pure. Look closely and the geometry keeps its human origin: slight unevenness in the pigment, the way cadmium red meets ultramarine along a line cut clean and deliberate. Van der Leck built his forms from rectangles and半 arcs reduced to their simplest terms, no shading, no depth, just color doing all the structural work. The white gaps breathe between the saturated blocks, giving the composition its rhythm. Hang it where clarity matters: a study desk wall, a minimalist hallway, or a reading nook that wants one decisive note of primary color.
