A lone figure stands on granite above the Sierra timberline, wind flattened against bare juniper trunks. Anne Brigman titled this photograph simply Untitled, letting the mountain silence carry everything. Silver grain and soft bromoil tone give the rock a grainy, mineral weight, while blown-out sky flattens the high country into near abstraction. Rough pine needles and pale mist read as texture you can almost touch. Hang it where quiet matters: a reading nook, a hallway with low light, or above a writing desk that faces north.
