Tower of Novgorod Kremlin

A whitewashed tower rises over the Novgorod Kremlin, its tented roof drawn in tight, deliberate strokes. Nicholas Roerich gives the ancient Russian fortress a quiet monumentality, the kind you feel standing at its base in morning cold.
