Tournedos sur Seine

A riverside meadow opens onto the Seine at Tournedos, grass in the foreground and a line of trees marking the far bank. Gustave Loiseau paints the scene in his characteristic en plein air manner, quick directional strokes breaking the surface into light and weather. Water takes on green and violet reflections, the sky moving in broken bands of pale blue and white. A quiet study or hallway would suit this river landscape well.
