The Straight Path

A narrow trail climbs toward a distant summit, cutting bare across the slopes in The Straight Path by Nicholas Roerich. No switchbacks, no shelter, just the line itself. The mountain faces glow in Roerich signature tempera blues, layered cold and paler as they recede. Snow ridges catch a faint light while the foreground holds in deep violet shadow, the path reading as a single pale seam against the rock. Small scale figures press upward along it. Suited to a study or hallway where a daily reminder of direction belongs, this reproduction carries the Himalayan stillness of the Roerich expedition years.
