Ribs of a hulled-out vessel rise above the Kennebec shoreline in Bath, Maine, and Clarence White catches the whole carcass in silvery daylight. The title says skeleton, and the photograph delivers one. Timber ribs curve like a whale fallen on its side, pale wood gone gray at the edges, keel shadowed underneath.
