Goldfish glide through a still, green pool ringed by stone and foliage. The Goldfish Pool at Chartwell shows Winston Churchill painting the water garden he tended at his Kent home, light trembling across the surface. Reflections break in flecks of gold and pale turquoise where the fish turn beneath the lily pads.
