The Beach, Concarneau

Fishing boats rest on wet sand, keels pressed into the ebb, the scene Robert Henri set down at Concarneau on the Brittany coast. The harbor lies open and bare. Oil handling carries the picture: broad loaded strokes build an oyster gray sky over sea green water, and rust red hulls anchor the middle distance. Figures in dark coastal dress resolve into quick, sure marks. Reflected light pools across the tidal flats. A cool entryway or seaside study gives the Breton shore room to breathe, muted tones settling easily against whitewashed walls and weathered wood.

A stretched canvas: the image is printed on a cotton-polyester weave (300–350 gsm) and wrapped over FSC-certified wood stretcher bars. A hanging kit is included, so no frame or extra hardware is needed.

Dust with a soft, dry cloth only — avoid water or cleaning products on the canvas face — and keep it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators.

As a guide, a piece hung above furniture should span roughly two-thirds of that furniture width. If you are between two sizes, the larger option almost always reads better on the wall than expected.

Every piece is made to order, then shipped free with tracking. US and Europe/UK orders typically arrive in 4–9 business days; Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and the UAE in 7–16 business days. A tracking link is emailed as soon as it ships. Full details are on our shipping policy.

Orders within the US, UK and EU are domestic and do not incur customs fees. Orders to our extended network (Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, UAE) may be subject to import duties or VAT set by your local customs authority — these are not collected by us.
