Terracotta pots crowd a whitewashed terrace in Frances Hodgkins Terrace Garden, Ibiza, where geraniums spill over low stone steps and a fig tree throws thin shade across the walls. The brushwork stays loose and angular, gouache applied in dry strokes of viridian, coral and dusty blue, the architecture flattened into planes of chalk white. A dark trellis anchors the upper corner while potted agave and trailing nasturtiums fill the foreground with hard edges and soft blooms. Suited to a sunlit breakfast room, conservatory or hallway with pale floors.
