Summer, Store Molla. Study from Lofoten

Summer over Store Molla, the island rising sheer from a Norwegian sea. Anna Katarina Boberg painted Lofoten again and again, and this study carries the light of the Arctic summer, when dusk barely arrives and the water holds a pale metallic sheen. Fishing boats rest at anchor below red timber cabins, their tarred facades catching the low sun. The sky washes from soft rose to milky blue, brushwork quick and observational, a plein air record of northern light that few artists of her generation dared to chase. Suited to a study or hallway, where the cool Nordic palette reads clearly at a glance.

A stretched canvas: the image is printed on a cotton-polyester weave (300–350 gsm) and wrapped over FSC-certified wood stretcher bars. A hanging kit is included, so no frame or extra hardware is needed.

Dust with a soft, dry cloth only — avoid water or cleaning products on the canvas face — and keep it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators.

As a guide, a piece hung above furniture should span roughly two-thirds of that furniture width. If you are between two sizes, the larger option almost always reads better on the wall than expected.

Every piece is made to order, then shipped free with tracking. US and Europe/UK orders typically arrive in 4–9 business days; Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and the UAE in 7–16 business days. A tracking link is emailed as soon as it ships. Full details are on our shipping policy.
