Study

Heaped fruit anchors Study, a still life by Pyotr Konchalovsky in which apples and pears crowd a tilted table, every form built from thick, directional strokes of loaded color. Oil sits on the surface in ridges you could trace with a fingertip. Crimson turns toward violet in the shadows, ochre and moss green carry the light, and the background is scraped back to warm umber. Every apple is constructed facet by facet, then pushed coarser and juicier than Cezanne ever dared. It belongs near food and talk. Picture it above a dining room sideboard or in a kitchen nook, where hearty, hand-built brushwork reads best at arm length.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes. It ships fully framed and assembled, with the hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Wipe the front gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Pick the size that suits your wall and furniture. If you are unsure between two, the larger one usually looks better than expected.

Each piece is made to order and shipped free with tracking, usually within a couple of weeks depending on your location. See our shipping policy for details.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
