Study from the South of France

Cypress silhouettes cut hard against a bleached sky, terracotta rooftops stacking down a slope of dry ochre grass. Study from the South of France by Anna Katarina Boberg records that southern noon at its hottest. Brushwork stays quick and open, thinned pigment dragged in single passes so bare ground burns through as sunlit plaster. Shadows run violet, never grey. One pine anchors the left edge, needles worked wet into wet until the heat haze takes them. A stretched canvas: the image is printed on a cotton-polyester weave (300–350 gsm) and wrapped over FSC-certified wood stretcher bars. A hanging kit is included, so no frame or extra hardware is needed.

Dust with a soft, dry cloth only — avoid water or cleaning products on the canvas face — and keep it out of direct sunlight and away from radiators.

As a guide, a piece hung above furniture should span roughly two-thirds of that furniture width. If you are between two sizes, the larger option almost always reads better on the wall than expected.

Every piece is made to order, then shipped free with tracking. US and Europe/UK orders typically arrive in 4–9 business days; Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore and the UAE in 7–16 business days. A tracking link is emailed as soon as it ships. Full details are on our shipping policy.
