Cut roses crowd a dark interior, their petals caught mid-fall across a polished table edge. Stilleben mit Blumen by Heinrich Kuhn arranges the bouquet low and close, blooms leaning out of a glass vessel at eye level. Deep reds and ivory whites carry the composition while shadowed green foliage fills the gaps between stems. The brushwork stays loose in the background, tight along petal rims, giving the flowers a soft, almost photographic glow against the dark ground. It reads as a quiet homage to the Dutch flower still life tradition, seen through an early photographic sensibility.
