Still Life with Samovar Pipe

A squat brass samovar and a long pipe claim the tabletop in Still Life with Samovar Pipe, Pyotr Konchalovsky building the scene with thick, deliberate strokes of paint. Ochre and umber carry the metal sheen, each highlight laid on thick enough to catch real light.
