A pair of fives rests face up on a dark board, a brass-headed Winchester ten shell standing beside it, both painted with deceive-the-eye precision by Charles Alfred Meurer. The cards wear soft handled corners, pips inked in lamp black while the red suits glow like lacquer. The shell shows pressed paper over a stamped brass base, its head catching a low raking light. Every shadow falls hard from a single source, depth coaxed out of plain darkness. Hung side by side in a study or den, both pictures reward close looking, pulling viewers in until painted surface and real tabletop refuse to separate.

Yes. It ships fully assembled in an oak or ash wood frame with shatterproof plexiglass glazing, and hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Clean the glazing with a soft, lint-free cloth; apply any cleaner to the cloth, never directly to the piece.

As a guide, a piece hung above furniture should span roughly two-thirds of that furniture width. If you are between two sizes, the larger option almost always reads better on the wall than expected.
