Still life (Bowl with apples)

Apples settle into a broad bowl, every round form flattened to one plane of red or yellow and ringed by a dark contour. Still life (Bowl with apples) positions Bart van der Leck between observed nature and pure geometry. The bowl dissolves into a few sweeping arcs; the table reads as one unbroken pale field. No shadow models the fruit. Depth comes from color set against color, black line against white, so each apple holds its weight through shape alone. A kitchen with plain cabinetry, a dining room in white and wood, or a hallway of bare plaster gives these saturated planes the emptiness they ask for.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
