Still Life

Fruit and a bowl flatten into slabs of pure color in Still Life by Bart van der Leck, every object shedding its shadow and keeping only its outline. Thick black contour lines lock the forms together, figure and ground trading places so the eye cannot tell where the table stops and the wall begins. Vermilion and chrome yellow sit against deep cobalt on a pale chalk white field, edges cut clean as paper. A Dutch modernist composition like this belongs in a dining room or hallway where daylight keeps the colors hard and the geometry honest.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes. It ships fully framed and assembled, with the hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Wipe the front gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Pick the size that suits your wall and furniture. If you are unsure between two, the larger one usually looks better than expected.

Each piece is made to order and shipped free with tracking, usually within a couple of weeks depending on your location. See our shipping policy for details.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
