Springtime

Blossom branches arch across the upper edge, their white petals falling toward a meadow that fills the lower half. Springtime, a Kimon Loghi work, reads like a held breath between winter and green. Pale pink and fresh leaf green dominate the field, laid in loose, visible brushwork that keeps the air moving between the branches. Soft light catches a distant tree line, and small blossoms scatter across the grass like confetti. The colors stay airy, never heavy.
