Smolensk. Tower

Heavy brickwork shoulders a pale sky in this Smolensk tower study by Nicholas Roerich, the fortress drum anchored where rampart meets ditch, patient and unadorned. The brush lays each course of masonry in warm ochre, every loophole a black keyhole punched clean through the mass. Mossy green cools the shadowed flank, and grass at the base lies in short strokes of olive and umber. Above, the sky stays pressed flat, so the stonework reads almost carved. A library with deep shelves suits it, or an entryway where guests pause first; the hushed palette rests comfortably beside leather chairs and old oak.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
