Ship

A lone vessel drifts across a sea painted in layered blues, its sail catching light like a paper lantern. Ship belongs to the visionary world of Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis, where every voyage doubles as a passage of the soul. Look closely and the water dissolves into bands of tempera color, deep teal folding into pale mint, the horizon barely a breath above the hull. Distant hills and a low sun sit behind the mast, drawn with the soft geometry of Symbolist art. The rigging reads like notation, thin dark lines against an opalescent sky. It suits a quiet study or a hallway that asks for stillness, somewhere the eye can travel outward and pause on that far horizon.
