Sharugen Monastery

A monastery folds itself into the mountainside at Sharugen, its flat roofs and cubic dwellings rendered in one unbroken sweep of stone color. Nicholas Roerich sets the whole structure against a sky of deep, loaded blue. Look closely and the brushwork does the building: dry strokes of ochre and grey stack wall upon wall, while a ribbon of pale path climbs toward the gate. Snow peaks burn white above, cool shadow pools below the terraces, and the tempera surface keeps every layer legible. A study, a hallway of books, a quiet reading corner. Anywhere the eye wants altitude.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes. It ships fully framed and assembled, with the hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Wipe the front gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Pick the size that suits your wall and furniture. If you are unsure between two, the larger one usually looks better than expected.

Each piece is made to order and shipped free with tracking, usually within a couple of weeks depending on your location. See our shipping policy for details.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
