Sea Sight

Waves roll in long, looping strokes across Sea Sight, a marine view by Nikolai Kulbin where blue washes swell and break before any horizon settles. Diluted cobalt and grey-green pigment pool wetly across the paper, leaving pale bare ground for foam. A quick graphite underdrawing shows beneath the color, searching lines like those a Futurist sketchbook carries. Water reads as motion first, substance second.
