Letters march and tumble across the sheet, each one angled as if mid-leap. Giacomo Balla built this poster for Casa d Arte Bragaglia out of type that refuses to sit still, turning a gallery announcement into pure Futurist choreography. Black capitals crowd the composition, some doubled and offset so they blur with motion, while a wedge of red cuts through the upper field like a pennant snapping in wind. The letterforms overlap, tilt, and crowd one another, their counterforms creating narrow white channels between heavy inked masses. Flat poster ink sits dense on the paper surface, edges slightly ragged where the plate pressed hardest. Hang it in a hallway or studio entryway where passing eyes can catch the tumbling lettering from across the room.
