Plastic Ensemble

Wedges and ribbons of pure color lock together across the surface in a plastic ensemble by Giacomo Balla. Nothing here sits still. Each shape presses forward, tilts, spins. Look closely and the geometry loosens into speed: a fan of lemon yellow sweeps across a band of deep cobalt, red arcs cut through cool green planes, and thin black spokes radiate from an unseen center like spokes of a wheel caught mid turn. The color does the work of motion. Hung in a studio loft, a stairwell, or a modern living room, this Futurist study of form and force keeps any wall in constant, quiet motion.
