Parrot Tulips Bloomed

Parrot tulips burst open in full bloom, their frilled petals twisting with the restless energy Koloman Moser brought to Viennese design at the turn of the century. The flowers fill the frame edge to edge, stems crossing at sharp angles, leaves folded like blades. Moser draws each bloom with the flattened geometry of the Vienna Secession: petal edges ruffled and cut into jagged points, color laid in confident blocks of crimson, cream and deep green against a pale ground. The line work is deliberate, every curve weighted, every leaf reduced to a clean silhouette. Nothing is casual here, yet the tulips feel alive, caught mid-flourish.
