Sunlight spreads across a green lawn where a path curves down toward the Neva. Park on the banks of the Neva shows a city park caught between water and sky. Linden foliage fills the upper half in loose dabs of sap green and yellow ochre, the canopy thinning where river light breaks through. Below, grass holds short strokes of emerald and lemon, and a pale walkway draws the eye toward the far bank. Silver-blue water runs along the lower edge, its surface flecked with white glints. Rylov paints the whole scene wet into wet, letting sky and river share the same cool haze. A quiet, orderly picture that suits a study or a reading nook, bringing a breath of northern riverside air indoors.
