Fresh snow lies along the riverbanks in Paris, Quais de la Seine sous la Neige, Pierre-Jacques Pelletier catching the city in a grey morning stillness where footprints fade as they appear. The river keeps its colour, a deep band of slate and raw umber running between whitened stone parapets.
