Örvénylő Felhők

Clouds spin across the whole surface, funneling into a vortex that swallows the horizon. Scheiber Hugó titled the work Örvénylő Felhők, whirling clouds, and the sky behaves accordingly. Sweeping curved strokes stack in bands of grey, violet, and storm blue, each arc thick enough to feel applied by palette knife. Beneath the turbulence the land flattens to a low strip of dark green and ochre, small rooftops or trees barely holding their ground. The contrast between restless sky and still earth carries all the drama. Hang it where you want weather in the room: a study wall, a hallway, above a reading chair.
