Northern Lights; Study from North Norway

Green and violet light pours across a frozen sky, bending in ribbons above dark Norwegian water. Anna Katarina Boberg recorded this aurora borealis in swift oil strokes, the kind made when fingers freeze mid-note and the sky refuses to hold still. Snowfields sit in cold blue shadow while the luminous arc throws pale green onto ridgelines and rigging. Loose brushwork keeps the ice alive, each crest of light dragged wet over darker underpaint so the glow seems lit from behind. The horizon stays low, giving the heavens most of the ground. A study for a larger canvas, it carries the urgency of first sight. Suited to a study, hallway, or bedroom where cool light reads well after dark.

Yes. It ships fully assembled in an oak or ash wood frame with shatterproof plexiglass glazing, and hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Clean the glazing with a soft, lint-free cloth; apply any cleaner to the cloth, never directly to the piece.

As a guide, a piece hung above furniture should span roughly two-thirds of that furniture width. If you are between two sizes, the larger option almost always reads better on the wall than expected.
