About this work

News

A lone figure on a bare hilltop raises a long horn and blows, and the sky answers. News by Mikalojus Konstantinas Ciurlionis stages announcement as revelation, one small silhouette against an enormous painted sky. Look closely and the message becomes visible. Pale rays fan outward in tapering bands, ochre and grey drifting into deep blue at the top edge. The rocky foreground is built up in dry, scumbled strokes, while the light shafts are brushed in thin, translucent layers so the glow seems to come from behind the hill rather than from any visible sun. A quiet study or reading nook suits its hush. Hung in a hallway, it turns every walk past into a small pause, as if the horn might sound again at any moment.

Frequently asked

Yes. It ships fully framed and assembled, with the hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Wipe the front gently with a soft, dry cloth and keep it out of direct sunlight.

Pick the size that suits your wall and furniture. If you are unsure between two, the larger one usually looks better than expected.

Each piece is made to order and shipped free with tracking, usually within a couple of weeks depending on your location. See our shipping policy for details.

Usually not, but international orders can occasionally be subject to local import fees set by your country. Anything like that is set by customs, not by us.

As each piece is made to order, we do not accept change-of-mind returns. If it arrives damaged or faulty, email support@auvrique.com within 7 days and we will put it right. See our refund policy.
