Moulin Simondou a Pont Aven

Water thunders beneath the Simondou mill at Pont Aven, and Gustave Loiseau catches every tumble of white foam against dark millstone walls. The wheel churns at center, painted in quick broken strokes of cream and violet shadow. Above it, red-tiled roofs slope into lush Breton green, while the river below runs jade and slate through mossy rocks. His crosshatched brushwork gives the whole scene a tremor, as if the current moves even now. Built for a kitchen with morning light, or a reading nook where you want the sound of falling water.
