Mimosa

Mimosa holds its ground. Charles Rennie Mackintosh drew this flowering branch with the same discipline he brought to rose studies: tall stems, tight buds, a composition that climbs the page in measured intervals. Pale yellow blossoms cluster along thin, angular stalks, each flowerhead a puff of stippled dots. Grey-green leaves fan out below, watercolor laid in flat, translucent washes that let the paper glow through. The linework stays wiry and sure, botanical observation sharpened by a designer eye for spacing and rhythm. Soft, botanical, and quietly precise, it suits a sunlit reading nook, a hallway with pale plaster walls, or a bedroom kept simple.
