Marina

Sailors work the deck of a fishing boat in Marina, a seascape by Kimon Loghi. Swells push the hull sideways while gulls scatter above the rigging. The water carries layers of slate blue and dull silver, broken by whitecaps dragged across the surface in quick loaded strokes. Behind the vessel a low horizon dissolves into a haze of pearl gray, and the sky presses down heavy and humid over the open sea. Suited to a coastal living room, a stairwell, or a seaside study where the salt air outside answers the water within.
