Lombos Fa

A leafy tree fills the frame in Scheiber Hugó, Lombos Fa, its crown pressed close to the viewer as if seen from a garden bench. The Hungarian title simply means leafy tree, and the subject delivers exactly that. The trunk rises thick and dark through the lower half, bark suggested with quick, rugged strokes, while the canopy breaks into overlapping planes of green, olive and yellow. Scheiber Hugó builds the foliage from restless patches of color, letting sky peek through gaps between the leaves. Every cluster carries its own weight and edge. A natural companion for a reading nook, a garden-facing study or a hallway where something rooted and green sets the tone.
