Lofoten in Violet. Study

Jagged peaks of the Lofoten archipelago dissolve into a sky of deep violet in a study by Anna Katarina Boberg, the Swedish painter who returned to these Norwegian islands year after year. Dark ridgelines sit as near-black silhouettes against bands of lilac and mauve, and the cold sea repeats the same purple, broken by one pale streak of reflected light. Paint goes on thin and fast, the shorthand of notes taken on the spot before dusk swallows the color entirely. Hang it where evenings run long: a reading nook, a hallway, a north-facing bedroom. The violet deepens as daylight fades, holding its glow after the lamps come on.

Yes. It ships fully assembled in an oak or ash wood frame with shatterproof plexiglass glazing, and hanging hardware already fitted to the back.

Clean the glazing with a soft, lint-free cloth; apply any cleaner to the cloth, never directly to the piece.

As a guide, a piece hung above furniture should span roughly two-thirds of that furniture width. If you are between two sizes, the larger option almost always reads better on the wall than expected.
