Ligeti Táj

A grove opens onto open country in Ligeti Táj, Scheiber Hugó. Trunks rise in loose verticals, their crowns breaking into dabs of green and pale sky, while the meadow below stretches in unbroken sweeps of light. Look closely and the brushwork carries the scene: short, angled strokes build foliage so it flickers between leaf and air. The horizon sits low, letting a wide sky of soft blue and pearl press down gently on the grass. Shadows fall sideways across the field, suggesting a low sun somewhere behind the viewer. Hung out where natural light moves through the day, a sunroom or a study with a garden view answers the mood of this landscape directly.
