Leningrad. Cabin of Peter the Great the Summer Garden

A low timber cabin sits beneath tall trees, its logs brushed a deep rust red. Pyotr Konchalovsky sets the little house of Peter the Great where the Summer Garden thins toward the river, Leningrad hushed beyond. Carved window frames catch cool northern light, and the hipped shingle roof carries heavy, loaded brushwork. Beyond an iron railing, lime trunks rise like columns along gravel paths, marble figures on plinths half lost in foliage, the Neva glinting grey-green at the edge. It asks for a study lined with books, or an entryway where mossy tones and weathered wood settle against plain plaster and quiet light.
