Pencil lines rise into a facade. Charles Rennie Mackintosh drew this House for an art lover as pure intention: a long pale elevation, tall iron balconies, windows set like notes on a staff. Look at the drafting itself. Ruled ink sits over soft graphite shading, hatched in tight strokes along the walls to suggest stone. Roses, his signature motif, curl in at the corners while the tower holds the whole composition upright. Every proportion is measured, then quietly broken by one curve.
