A broad river carries the whole sky down its middle, current pulling light toward a low far bank. Landscape with a river gives Arkady Rylov space to let moving water do the talking. Oil paint sits in short, loaded strokes: ochre shallows, reeds bent by the stream, a treeline of alder and willow stitched along the horizon. Stacked cumulus throws cool cobalt shadow across the surface, while sunlit patches warm the sand to pale gold.
