The Rax massif anchors the horizon in this Koloman Moser landscape, its pale limestone face catching light above the dark spruce slopes of Semmering. Moser flattens the mountain country into clean bands of color, the Vienna Secession habit applied to open air. Near ground, meadow grass and scattered farm roofs sit in muted greens and ochre, while the peak reads almost white against a wash of sky. Thin tree trunks break the middle distance in slim verticals. A study, hallway, or quiet reading corner gains real depth from this mountain light.
